Conversations With My Daughter

"My mom told me, 'Please respect white people at work.'"

16 Sep 2025

Description

A woman I met in corporate once told me this. She came from a different background, was a brilliant accountant, but was terrified. She was told to respect a particular gender and race, and she was so scared of even talking to people like me. She looked at me and said, "How egotistic must you be to be taking white people's places?" This story hit me hard because I realized that so many of us walk into the workplace with baggage we don't even know we're carrying. It's the unspoken conditioning that holds us back. In "Conversations with my daughters," I want to unpack these stories and show you how to move past them. We'll explore how to be comfortable with yourself, build perennial growth through self-awareness, and find a place where you belong. Stay tuned for our first episode! The Conduit People Solutions
