09 Oct 2016

Description

Shaping means gradually altering someone's behavior by rewarding incremental changes, for example walking to jogging to running. Chaining means examining the behaviors, stimuli, reinforces and punishments leading up to a behavior. Backwards chaining means examining behaviors in revers to see how the person got here. It can be helpful in identifying triggers for upset, as well as interventions or behaviors the person currently uses to avoid the upset. Learn more about your ad choices.
