Daniel welcomes an author whose books have been adored not just in her home country, but all around the world. Marita Conlon-McKenna is a multi-talented writer who has penned diverse tales for both’s adults and children, Marita is perhaps best known for her acclaimed debut - Under the Hawthorn Tree and it’s two sequels, which have became staples of Irish children’s literature. Marita will be discussing the legacy of her work, as well as how she deals with reviews and reader expectations. She’ll be discussing how she writes, the impact creativity has on her day to day life and her involvement in a campaign encouraging children to discover Irish authors and Irish books.
