Crime Stories with Nancy Grace

Convicted Killer Tex McIver to Walk Free?

17 Feb 2024

Description

Claud "Tex" McIver is convicted in the shooting death of his wife, Diane. That conviction has been reversed and now, the once-prominent Atlanta attorney takes a plea deal that will pave his way to a release. Georgia’s highest court ruled that the jury should have been able to consider a misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter charge. McIver has now pleaded guilty to lesser charges of involuntary manslaughter, conduct, and possession of a gun during the commission of a crime. He will receive credit for the time he’s already spent in custody.
