He is also founder of Alabaster, an investor focused on early stage companies with technology based on scientific breakthroughs that have the potential for creating positive, planet-level impact. Recurring themes include alternative protein production, new materials, and novel semiconductors. Previously he founded and sold a number of technology companies, including most recently selling Misfit to Fossil (NASDAQ:FOSL) for $260m.
