Check out show sponsor Coinkite: https://coinkite.com/ Donations to Porkopolis Economics via BTCPay appreciated: https://donations.porkopolis.io/ This is the seventy-ninth video installment from Porkopolis Economics, covering macro and money, from the creator of the Crypto Voices podcast, Matthew Mezinskis. Contents 00:00 Intro 00:20 Monetary base value 04:50 Gov. pension fund 13:22 Central bank total assets 14:27 % of pension fund Here I cover the Norwegian central bank's balance sheet. You may be surprised to learn that it's famous, massive "Government Pension Fund Global" sovereign wealth fund is included as part of its total assets (and liabilities). This is quite rare in the world. As well, the size is so massive, 94% of total assets are included in this fund, which absolutely dwarfs the size of Norway's monetary base (the "main thing" that central banks are supposed to be in charge of!).
