In this episode Dan talks about the different modeling methods and their accuracy and how Data Vault compares to Kimball architecture and model and Bill Inmon’s Operational Data Warehouse. Dan also addresses the impact of change on the different warehouse solutions – both to the physical modelling approach chosen and to the related data pipeline – and why the warehouse strategy selected introduces risk to the business in terms of costs and reengineering/refactoring efforts.
