Greg, please introduce yourself to anybody that's not aware who Snowfire is.
Awesome. Kirk, pleasure to be with you today. Thank you for the invite. My name is Greg Janung. I'm the CEO and founder of Snowfire AI. Will you take all of your business data, transform it into a knowledge graph, and help you harness profits, revenue, and your data as the new competitive edge in this age of AI?
It's going to be tough to talk about AI right now and to try to pitch what AI is doing from a value perspective, knowing that right now there's a lot of people that are shitting all over AI every day, right? So do you find it difficult to try to explain to people who Snowfire is? I tell people, you guys are like... You'll be the palantir for the data center industry is the way I explain it to people. And I say that because we're intimate with you. We're working with you on an AI platform right now, which is something that we're super excited about. But you're creating me my own Jarvis, right? But we're calling him Oscar, Oscar AI. But I want to use this podcast to humanize AI. Can you help me with that?
I would love to. All right. So listen, before we do that, before we get into the nuts and bolts, because people tend to want to pressure test where that information is coming from. Do me a favor, give everyone the nickel tour. Who are you? How did you get to Snowfire?
Sure. Okay, so there's a lot with that intro to unpack. I would say that I think humanizing this is a wonderful conversation. Happy to go there. And I think a big part of it is in the age of AI, there is a massive signal-to-noise ratio. And as a former military intelligence officer like yourself, you've seen what signal-to-noise looks like. So I find that the signal that really shines through is authenticity. There's a lot of... There's a lot of errant conversations and errant facts and certainly a lot of trial and error happening in our space right now. And so what I try to do is try to work with folks to get into their objectives and really try to use my experience, which is 25 years in cybersecurity, big data and executive outcomes focused on really transforming what they have in data
to become decisions. And that's really, you know, everything that I'm able to do to help people that I work with and for and around, it's about getting outside of what I think is important and getting to what they think is important, and then looping that back to the data layer to see if we can extract that. That is the key.
So that is the most important part I think people don't understand is AI is only as good as the mapping to the data layers, basically. You said something to me once that had a profound impact on the way that I viewed AI, and that was I think we were talking, there was an article I read where I'm like, yeah, it's looking like intelligence is becoming obsolete. Everyone's going to have access to the same level of intelligence through AI. So what's going to separate one smart kid from one that's not? And the answer was creativity. And that was the article. And you're like, Kirk, the future belongs to those that ask the best questions to their AI. And I thought that was a really incredible statement, right?
So I think right now there's people that are scared to death of AI and they don't understand AI. I would be too, actually, if I wasn't an industry person. If I didn't understand what I know, I would probably be just as skeptical standing on the other side. Who knows? Maybe I'd be in a NIMBY crowd throwing stones at these things. But I want to use this time to really unpackage the complications of AI. And I know that the theme right now that scares the shit out of people on AI is that it's just going to take my job. And there are a series of white collar jobs that will be blown out.
