The reigning Formula 1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio joined Scuderia Ferrari in 1956. Obviously, this combination made him favourite for the title. But was it enough to win it for the fourth time? In this episode of the Data Driven F1 series, Ganna Pogrebna and Patrick Henz discuss the results of the 1956 Formula 1 season, including behaviour, analytics and decision making of drivers, car constructors and their managers. After recording this episode we discovered that drivers were able to share drives in later seasons. We have rectified this error in future episodes.
