Episode 36: Conversation with Clayton Aldern (Grist)

This episode features Clayton Aldern, a data reporter at Grist, a nonprofit, independent media organisation dedicated to telling stories of climate solutions. He talks to us about a joint investigation led by Grist and the Texas Observer examining abandoned oil wells in the Permian Basin region of the United States. Using data analysis and machine learning, the investigation found that state governments gravely underestimated the number of wells that need to be cleaned up along with the costing models.
