Today's book is a soapy, bombastic delight! The Liz Taylor Ring has dual timelines, multiple MULTIPLE POV's, family secrets, family fighting, gambling scenes straight out of a Scorsese film... and a gorgeous 11-carat diamond ring at the center of it. Brenda stops by to talk about the allure of Liz Taylor, how those gambling scenes came to be (the answer is awesome) figuring out how to edit such a sprawling and wild book, and writing characters that aren't always likeable. I read this book as a reader and a writer and was completely enthralled. Brenda Janowitz is the author of seven novels, including The Grace Kelly Dress. She is the former books correspondent for PopSugar, and her work has also appeared in the New York Times, Real Simple, the Washington Post, and the New York Post, among others. She is a graduate of Cornell University and Hofstra School of Law and lives in New York with her husband and two sons.
