Humanity is great at one thing above all: storytelling. We don’t have the sharpest claws, our teeth don’t tear into flesh the same way as, say, a bears does nor can we stalk our victims quite as well. There are creatures out there better at running, climbing, swimming, swarming and so much more. But we can follow a story. And what is tracking if not a simple story? You wound your victim, it runs off and you follow their blood drops like bread crumbs on a trail. It’s simple.
