Ep.47 - Dale Perry

Today on the Deadass Podcast. I have my Uncle - Dale Perry who shares some of his life and career as a Police Officer in the Australian Federal Police. Also being a part of the Special Operations Team (SWAT Equivalent). The 29th of November this year marked 30 years since the Jolimont Centre siege that took place in Canberra ACT resulting in the serious wounding of one person and the death of another over the course of two hours. The centre was set on fire and extensive damage was caused by a lone gunman. Dale was called in as apart of the Special Operations Team. In the following years, Dale moved to Queensland to join the Queensland Police Service and continued in the traffic branch riding the the motorcycles. It was great reflecting on some of the stories I heard around the dinner table growing up as a child!
