Dear Creative Mind|a space for creative liberation

Art, recovery + healing narratives with Corri Lynne

21 May 2024

Description

Today, I'm chatting with Corri Lynne — she's a children's book author and illustrator living in Pittsburgh with her husband and little dog, Peanut. She is passionate about living authentically and sharing openly about past trauma, addiction, and recovery. Her hope is to challenge the stigma society still holds for these issues. She is a lover of all things creative and believes in the power of art to heal and transform. Corri Lynne shared so openly and vulnerably about her own journey recovering from addiction and an eating disorder, and how she reconnected with her creative side to heal trauma... and how she now creates healing stories for children to feel more empowered in navigating their own emotional world. We also talked about some very practical ways to deal with self-doubt and shame when we create and share our art. PS. Looking to connect + create with like-minded creatives this Summer? I coach artists, makers and creatives of all kinds because I believe in the cathartic power of art, and the important role you're here to play. Through coaching, we co-create a sacred space to gently untangle the knots on your rebellious path, support your wellbeing and elevate your soulful work. My clients come to me with a heart full of creative ideas... and a mind tangled in self-doubt. My role is to help them find their way back to self-trust so they can fully step into the next level of their creative vision, business and self.
