Kennedy Center Employee Fired Over Trump Protest Video

28 Mar 2025

Description

American Wire News reported that the Kennedy Center terminated an employee, Travis Forsyth, after he posted a video protesting Trump's influence on the institution while nude. Forsyth questioned whether remaining at the Kennedy Center made him complicit with what he perceived as a hostile government takeover targeting marginalized groups. The Kennedy Center's VP stated the video was "extremely disturbing" given the employee worked with minors, a claim Forsyth denied. Interim President Richard Grenell affirmed the firing, stating such behavior would not be knowingly funded by the Kennedy Center.
