Wisconsin Judge Suspended for Aiding Fugitive

Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge named Hannah Dugan was arrested by the FBI and subsequently temporarily suspended from her judicial duties by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The reason for these actions was the allegation that Judge Dugan helped an illegal immigrant escape from her courtroom to avoid being apprehended by Immigation and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The article contends that despite some mainstream media portraying Dugan as a noble figure, she was arrested for obstructing an official proceeding and concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest, not for simply expressing dissent.
