Stand-up comedy is a performance art often associated with personal expressions of culture and identity. When examining the content of comedians like Aziz Ansari, Kumail Nanjiani, and Hasan Minhaj, Dr. Samah Choudhury argues that these men step into their Muslim identities through the language and (hostile implications) of racialization.
