E12. AI Patents - Santhosh, Philips

13 Mar 2021

Description

Patents protect the inverter by granting them exclusive rights of an invention for a designated period in exchange for disclosure of the invention. However their applicability to AI lends some consideration. I am excited to have Santhosh with us today to shed more light on this. Santosh is an industry professional with experiences across caterpillar, Lennox Industries and now Philips. Recently he was awarded a patent for using an AI method to operate a HVAC system so as to save energy costs based on predicted temperatures. Santhosh will be drawing from his experiences to demystify the AI patent landscape for us.
