236 – Andrew – Bad News Across The Board!

Market report and bitesize episode for the w/c 22nd May 2023. Andrew heads straight into discussing the misery on top of misery, discussing crop prices in the market for the week as usual. A terrible week for farming prices for those looking to sell, every market is down and all news is bearish until it isn’t. It appears there is not much farmer participation in the market…maybe a little bit of irony going on here, tune in to find out why. There is a demand for barley since Spain has a drought & the malting barley market has life. Andrew updates that there is an awfully large amount of wheat moving out of their future stores and next week appears to be moving just as well. An insight into harvest, which will not be taking place on July 1st this year, as discussed in last week’s episode, but the industry will be able to manage. This is a reminder to everyone that the Dewing Grain Podcast Walk will be taking place on Friday 26th May 2023 at 11am.
