Oliver Werneyer erklärt: Versicherer verfügen über eine Reihe von Kernkompetenzen: Pricing, Risikomanagement uvm. Für den Bereich Zahlungssysteme fehle es hingegen zumeist an Expertise. Bei der Lebensversicherung werden sechsstellige Summen bewegt. Hier möchte man lieber auf die klassische Banküberweisung als auf Amazon Pay zurückgreifen. Die Komplexität der Zahlungssysteme erhöht sich zudem über die einzelnen Länder und Kulturen. Während in Deutschland viele Paypal nutzen, spielt dieser Dienstleister in der Schweiz nahezu keine Rolle. Jeder Markt müsse individuell betrachtet werden. Amanda Ingram ergänzt dies um die Punkte der multiplen Währungen und Regulierungsanforderungen. In der Versicherungswelt gäbe es für all das kaum Kompetenzen. Sapiens hilft Versicherern dabei. In life insurance, six-figure payments are being transfered and that is why people would rather use the classic bank transfer than Amazon Pay. The complexity of payment systems also increases across countries and cultures. While many use Paypal in Germany, this service provider plays almost no role in Switzerland. Each market has to be considered individually. Amanda Ingram adds the points of multiple currencies and regulatory requirements. In the insurance world, there are hardly any competences for all that. Sapiens helps insurers with this.
