Digital Orthopaedics Conference (DOCSF)

S3E09 - Engaging People to Improve their Lives

20 Feb 2020

Description

On this episode 9 of season 3, we introduced a new feature at DOCSF called Energy Boost... and, well, we liked it... A lot. Orthopaedics is all about restoring motion and maintaining musculoskeletal health. So we took a moment to celebrate the technologies and ideas that keep us well. We asked Matt Wilpers, one of the founding instructors at Peloton, to join us all the way from NYC from where he coaches. We love Matt. And so do thousands of people who ride with him and take his classes around the planet every day. He is going to investigate the power of digital tools to change behavior. And to really get down to core principles we were lucky enough to have Dr Vonda Wright, Chief of Northside Hospital Orthopaedic Institute for Sports Medicin ein Atlanta, as his moderator. She has authored two books, appeared as medical expert across the networks and is a strong advocate for womens health and wellness in general. Let’s join Matt as he takes the microphone on the DOCSF Stage. By the way, it was odd to see Matt wearing a suit...The Venue:This conversation was recorded at DOCSF in January 2020, the weekend before #JPM Week in San Francisco. DOCSF is all about the intersection of digital health and musculoskeletal care. This year, the sessions featured leaders from Microsoft, Google, Mozilla, Amazon and many other amazing organizations, and Dan Kendall interviewed some of the speakers following their sessions on the stage.
