45. The Ordinary World Trap (and How to Escape It)

In this episode, I break down one of the most important steps in taking back control of your story—understanding your world.   Before you can "Direct Your Life," you have to know where you're standing in it. I compare life to filmmaking and reveal the different roles we all play: the extra who blends into the background, the stand-in who practices life but doesn't live it, and the actor who finally steps into the scene. But the goal is to become the director—the one who takes ownership, calls the shots, and designs the story on purpose.   I also share an excerpt from my upcoming book, Direct Your Life or Someone Else Will, where I use the acronym O.R.D.I.N.A.R.Y. to describe the mindset that keeps people stuck on autopilot.
