Microplate DX specialises in developing solutions to tackle the global health threat of Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR). Hear from Poonam as she discusses how the business started as a spinout from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and has gone on to raise investment funding, form partnerships and win the ‘Startup Award’ at the Barclays Entrepreneur Awards 2023 in London. Poonam also shares the details of her own personal journey – moving to the UK from India 25 years ago to study for her PhD in Scotland, working with startups, and becoming an entrepreneur and a successful business leader. She discusses the challenges she’s faced along the way as a female entrepreneur, how she overcame them, and the risks she as a women leader has taken to achieve success.
