40. Filme A Chegada e o relativismo linguístico

Para abrir a nova temporada de episódios do nosso podcast resolvemos discutir alguns temas por trás do filme A Chegada, que é baseado no conto História da Sua Vida de Ted Chiang, e algumas investigações já levantadas a cerca da teoria do Relativismo Linguístico (Cunha, Adan Phellipe) (2013). Costuma-se afirmar que o relativismo linguístico seja uma hipótese, que alega que a língua pode moldar a percepção da realidade, o pensamento ou a cultura. A @andrezcardos resolveu assistir e buscar algumas pesquisas já realizadas sobre o tema e como ele se relaciona com o enredo e plot twist do filme.
