Being a parent is one the most self-sacrificial jobs to have however, when it comes to the daily duties and obligations of single parents, the responsibilities are much different. When it comes to being a single mom, there's a lot of conversation that holds a stigma that creates shame, negative stereotypes, and judgement around the structure and circumstances of kids being raised in a one parent home. From paying the bills, planning the meals, signing the permission slips, checking homework,  all while making sure the heat, lights, and water stays on....what often gets misunderstood is that these home are broken, chaotic, and that your kids lack the love and support that only a two parent home can provide. Contrary to many believe to even what statistics say, there are many single mothers who has chosen to not accept this reality as theirs and decided to take their power back and become an authority over their lives so that they can thrive for themselves and their children.
