All the fan reaction to everything that the Millwall and Swansea performances were not, without a recognised first team midfielder in the squad the much maligned Gaspar and Bacuna worked really hard in the centre and Gaspar especially was a revelation. 3 at the back worked much better and a breakaway goal caps off a truly professional, hard working away performance and takes 3 points. However the injuries keep racking up and discuss the recurrent hamstring injuries, the other injuries and the suspensions and we all know we cant get carried away but most of all we focus on the warm glow of seeing a Watford side go out and put in a shift, show some character and we say well done to Slaven, the team and the away support that started 2023 in magnificent form!
