What is a Ponzi scheme?   You may have seen the recently released Netflix documentary about the Tinder Swindler, Simon Leviev, or Shimon Hayut to give him his birth name. Between 2017 and 2019s, he conned a series of women out of their money, extorting nearly $10M in total. Leviev’s criminal activity is an example of what’s known as a Ponzi scheme.
