It’s been over two decades now since viagra was first approved for use in 1998, the little blue pill from Pfizer becoming the first oral treatment for erectile dysfunction. Its use has steadily increased over the years, with the NHS reporting just under 3 million prescriptions in 2016, compared to 1 million in 2006. Its success has led pharmaceutical companies to look for a female equivalent. In 2015, the American Food & Drug Authority approved a pink pill called Flibanserin, marketed as Addyi, which became known as female viagra. How does it work? Let’s cut to the chase then; does female viagra really work? What can be done to help women who want to boost their libido? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions!
