02 May 2022

Description

What is Web 3.0? The future of the internet is the subject of much discussion, and there’s excitement about the emergence of Web 3.0. It has given high hopes to those who feel we need a decentralised, more transparent internet! When the internet was first developed, it took the form of websites with static ergonomy, which weren’t linked between one another. That was back in the 1990s, and researchers called this stage Web 1. The main purpose was circulating information via Wikipedia, emails and online media websites. What does that all mean in concrete terms? Are we talking about a more secure internet then? What are the main limitations of Web 3.0 in its current form? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! To listen to the last episodes, you can click here: What is the PKK? What is the Tower of Babel? What is the Streisand effect?
