Dr. Ben O’Keeffe (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whātua) is a professional rugby union referee and ophthalmology registrar. Originally from Blenheim, he attended Malborough Boys’ before headed to the University of Otago to complete his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He is also the co-founder of the social enterprise oDocs Eye Care, which aims at creating medical technology to prevent blindness.
