Work Is A Command Do you know the fourth commandment of the Lord? People say it is about the Sabbath, a day of rest. Do you know that that is just one-half of the command? So many of us have been violating the fourth commandment of the Lord because we do not take it as a whole but only in part. The fourth commandment says… 8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work… Exodus 20:8–10 (NASB95) God commands us to rest from our work, but you have no right to rest if you first do not work - for six days.
