Mike Carlin

For the first DBB episode of 2024 (and season 4), we're joined by the workhorse editor of DC, Mr. Mike Carlin! Mike started at DC way back in 1974 as a high school intern, before becoming an assistant editor under Mark Gruenwald at Marvel. But he made perhaps his biggest mark as the Superman group editor, where he orchestrated big changes for the Man of Steel, including the triangle numbering across titles, the Death and Return of Superman storylines, and the introduction of new books and characters. He was later promoted to executive editor at DC and went on to oversee DC's robust slate of animated films.
