ADHD - Late Diagnosis II: Self-Esteem

Probably the biggest difficulty growing up with ADHD untreated is what that does to an individual’s self-esteem. When you get 70 critical comments a day. When you’re trying to succeed in an educational system that wasn’t designed for your kind of brain. When you’re surrounded by people, particularly adults, who don’t understand ADHD. When you’re trying to survive in these circumstances, it is difficult to develop a positive self-concept.
