God wants to be the protector and guide for you and your family. All He needs is a person who is willing and ready to step into the Family Priesthood. It can be the dad, the mom, or even the children. God will use the one who sets themselves apart unto Him! In fact, God will use everyone in the family to be the Watchman, to hear and share His wisdom and direction with the family.
