Have you ever wondered why the oath is worded precisely this way? It’s because this oath reflects the profound biblical understanding of truth. That’s also why we traditionally place our hand on the Bible while taking this oath. We’re committing to tell the truth as God defines it! God teaches us that the absolute truth encompasses everything connected to the matter at hand. It is like embracing the full counsel of God—recognizing only a part of the truth means we're not truly understanding or sharing it fully. We also declare that our testimony will be "nothing but the truth." This means we must not mix our personal opinions, emotions, or hearsay into our testimony. Scripture clearly instructs us not to add or subtract from God’s Word; doing so compromises its purity and authenticity. Yet perhaps the most challenging aspect of discovering truth lies deep within our hearts—in the hidden realm of our motives and intentions behind our actions and words. This week, join me in exploring one of the profound paradoxes of New Covenant faith. Together, we will open doors within our hearts, guiding us into an extraordinary dimension of faith based on God's full counsel. This will introduce us to a new dimension of Faith in His Word and His character!
