8. Coming Out of Darkness

When we think of darkness we tend to think of some horrible sin or some gross deception. But very often the concept of darkness or blindness has to do with a distorted or limited perception of reality. The darkness that cannot take hold of the life of God is very often our own cultural bias and personal opinions. We can’t see God as He is until we see Him through the life of Jesus. This means surrendering any doctrine or concept of God that is not rooted in the life, teaching, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
