Post NBA Trade Deadline

Welcome back to another episode of the Drive & Dish NBA podcast. Justin Cousart (@JustinContheAir) is at yet another wedding this week (we’re not kidding), so Kevin Rafuse (@rafusetolose) is joined by Louis Axen (@LouisArtisan). The guys recap a jam-packed trade deadline and kick things off with the massive 4 team trade between the Timberwolves, Rockets, Nuggets & Hawks. Kevin tries to make sense of the timing of the move for Atlanta, while Louis argues the super small-ball lineup could just work for Houston. The guys then discuss the D’Angelo Russell trade, and why it was such a needed move for Minnesota. What is their outlook for the rest of the season? Plus the guys talk why it’s such a huge gamble for the Warriors, but why Andrew Wiggins has a shot of working. Louis also sticks up for his guy Steph Curry in the ongoing Andre Iguodala/Ja Morant beef. The final trade the guys discuss is maybe the most surprising of all, Andre Drummond going to Cleveland. Kevin discusses why the move makes sense for Cleveland, and how he could potentially fit their plans long term. The guys also break down why Detroit got so little of a return for their best player.
