The Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin has partnered with local historian and author, Donal Fallon, to create the second episode of our walking tour podcast series; this time focusing on the 1916 Easter Rising. The tour transplants listeners from modern day Dublin to early 20th century Dublin, where fear, excitement and uncertainty was palpable on the capital’s streets. Starting at the bullet-riddled RCSI, the tour moves past St. Stephen’s Green, Trinity College and Dublin Castle, with historical facts and tidbits of information, weaved throughout. This 1916 audio walking tour is completely free of charge to download and listen to and is a great way for anyone who has an interest in learning about this significant event which changed the course of Irish history. Our concierge team has a pair of earphones waiting for you in the lobby so you can start your journey through time right on our doorstep. Follow our RSS feed for more walking tour audio podcasts.
