In April 2018, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central introduced the AL Development Language. Before this, C/AL was used to develop earlier versions of Navision and Dynamics NAV through the Integrated Development Environment.AL is integrated with Visual Studio Code, providing a modern and efficient development environment. Initially, both languages were supported to ease transitions for existing systems.
