Clot stories - S3 Ep2 - Meet Lainey

Lainey is a research technician for an Alzheimer's and Aging Laboratory. She graduated from Iowa State University with her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. While at Iowa State, Lainey experienced two clotting events. Lainey is a proud, two time pulmonary embolism survivor. A latin proverb states,“by teaching, we learn”.  Lainey uses this phrase to influence her personal life and her life spreading awareness around the risks, signs and symptoms of blood clots. When she isn’t in the laboratory, you can find Lainey with a camera in hand photographing pets and wildlife, or at home baking and crafting with her two labradors and three orange kitties by her side.
