In our second series on the podcast, we are looking into a brilliant time for Spanish Football - specifically, in the Copa del Rey. During 1999 and 2009, the Copa del Rey refused to be dominated by the Galaticos of Real Madrid and the dominant force of Barcelona - instead, it gave us some of the most fascinating finals and ultimately some brilliant winners who had waited years if not decades to achieve silverware. The first final we look at is the barn stormer between Espanyol and Real Zaragoza in 2006, where both sides had incredible runs to the showpiece final but where the winner would go on to have the most incredible European run.
