In February we celebrate a Black History Month. Its origins are back in 1926, but it was first officially announced by the president Gerald Ford in 1976. It's an opportunity to pay tribute to Afro-Americans forgotten by the history or to those who actively fought for the abolition. The movement to end discrimination is still going, for example, recently we've been hearing more about Black Lives Matter movement. If you would like to find out more about the history of Afro-Americans you can check these websites: history.com africanamericanhistorymonth.gov https://nmaahc.si.edu In today's episode we have chosen to talk about 3 books that share a common topic but have totally different styles and genres: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee A Time to Kill by John Grisham The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas All three recommendations can be found at the Point of Interest shelf at the Errenteria Library.
