In 2017, he focused on air quality management zones in Edinburgh for his thesis, exploring the possibility of implementing geofencing for electric buses. Although EV charging was not originally part of his research, he stumbled upon an opportunity in EV consultancy and joined Cenex, a not-for-profit consultancy. He gained experience in various EV research and development aspects, including vehicle-to-grid trials and innovative strategy rollouts. Michael spoke at conferences as an industry expert at a young age. After a year and a half in Leicestershire, Michael returned home to be closer to family and joined GEP, where he worked on energy and environmental auditing consultancy.
