A Profile in Leadership: Katie Smith Sloan & LeadingAge

Susan Ryan sits down with Katie Smith Sloan, president and CEO of LeadingAge, an organization that represents more than 5,000 nonprofit aging services providers and other mission-minded organizations. Sloan talks about LeadingAge, what it does, why it exists, and how the organization has used its voice to lead during the pandemic by interpreting changing guidance to produce tangible tools and resources for its members. She examines the power of a story to positively impact the national narrative about nursing homes and talks about leading during the most horrific time in our history.
