Episode 71: Mike Manuel {Build A Support System For Your Athletes}

This week I have Mike Manuel on the show. Mike is a former track & field coach and current professional boxing coach out of Legacy Boxing Club and Olympus Boxing Club here in Calgary Alberta. Speaking about one of his former track and field athletes who won provincial titles and competed for the Junior National Team for Canada, Mike stated his drive to never be second and his year round commitment to staying in shape as the reason this athlete and other elite athletes like him are able to be successful..Further, talking to Mike about his role as a coach for his current athletes what really stuck out to me was his take on the "Art of Coaching." Mike discusses his role as a coach as simply being someone there to help his athletes be successful. It is about more than simply what happens in training, but a wholesome approach. His commitment to continuous growth with his athletes, as well as helping his athletes in every area of their lives is incredible.
