EYRC Training Program: interview with Prof. Martin ReinckeOn behalf of the EYRC, Dr Pedro Marques interviewed Professor Martin Reincke during the Annual Congress of the Portuguese Society of Endocrinology in 30 January – 2 February 2025, in Porto, Portugal.Professor Martin Reincke is a well-known Professor of Endocrinology and thecurrent Head of the Department of Medicine IV, University Hospital Munich.Prof Reincke has also been the previous president of the European Society of Endocrinology.His academic interests mainly consist of the pathogenesis and management of endocrine tumors, with a great focus on pituitary and adrenal, and in specific conditions such as Cushing’s syndrome and hyperaldosteronism.In this interview, Prof. Martin Reincke started by highlighting to us the maindevelopments in the diagnostic and management of Cushing’s syndrome. Then, Prof Martin Reincke further shared with us some advice on how to become a world leader academic professor of Neuroendocrinology, and how to find a good balance between professional and personal life.
