Description

Send us a textEveryone knows that when you go to study engineering at university, you will have to take a bunch of courses and laboratories.  These academic activities help students learn core engineering skills.  However, there is a lot of learning that can happen in engineering student organizations.  These extra-curricular activities are where students develop additional skills that will have an important impact on their career. In this episode we sit down with three engineering student leaders.  Lei Ocampo is the Vice-President of Events for the Regina Engineering Students’ Society, Gianna Osuobeni is the Vice-President of Events for the National Society for Black Engineers (NSBE – Regina Chapter), and Drake Smith is the President of Cougar Racing.  In this conversation we hear about their experiences as engineering students, and the value of getting involved in extra-curricular activities.  Learning at university does not just happen in classrooms and laboratories!
