This program transitioned from an existing petroleum engineering program, and now includes options in sustainable energy, and energy transportation and storage. Sam is a petroleum engineer and has been teaching petroleum and energy systems laboratories for the past eight years. In our conversation he discusses his background and the work that has been done to create the new Energy Systems program. With new laboratories in wind, solar, geothermal, fuel cells, and more, there is a lot of excitement about the future of the Energy Systems program among students, instructors, and industry!
