One on one meetings are time set aside from a busy schedule – use them to coach and mentor. One on one meetings with direct reports is a great way to build professional and personal relationships with those you rely on to drive the team’s performance. Building trust is a critical starting point for effective 121 meetings.  It is super important that you don’t cancel or move you one on one meetings so you signal to your team members that these meetings and they are important to you.
