#27: The Dark Side of Emotional Intelligence (Part 1)

27 Apr 2020

Description

I read something just this week about Emotional Intelligence that absolutely made me stop in my tracks. There are people teaching & using emotional skills to control & manipulate others!!   I want to be clear here - this is very wrong! This is the absolute wrong motive & use of emotional intelligence. Sometimes as entrepreneurs, we want so much to win. We want to be successful and we want to make a difference. But if we want it so much that we are willing to use any means to win, it makes us too susceptible to using these skills in a way that may help us in the short run, but hurts people in the long run. I hope...I really hope, that you're into personal development as much as you're into marketing, sales and networking strategies! Those things are important, but here's the reality: you are your business! And if you're not working on growing yourself, your business will eventually plateau, if it ever really gets off the ground at all.   And when it comes to personal development, emotional intelligence is like a secret mind hack that so few people even know about! We are trying to change that! If you have entrepreneur friends, would you do them a favor and share this podcast with them?
